About
NMAT by GMAC is a national-level MBA entrance test conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). It leads to admission in many top MBA colleges including NMIMS Mumbai, TAPMI, XIMB, KJ Somaiya, and SDA Bocconi. The exam has 108 questions across three sections in 120 minutes, uses adaptive scaled scoring (36–360), and has no negative marking. Candidates can take the exam up to three times per testing cycle, with the best score considered for admission. The scorecard is available within 48 hours of the exam.
Content
NMAT by GMAC 2026 is expected to be held from November 5 to December 19, 2026. Registration opens August 1, 2026 and closes October 10, 2026. The exam uses adaptive scaled scoring (12–120 per section, 36–360 total) with no negative marking. Candidates may attempt the exam up to three times per cycle. Scores are accepted by 85+ business schools across India.

Syllabus
NMAT syllabus is divided into three sections: (1) Language Skills – 36 questions, 28 minutes; (2) Quantitative Skills – 36 questions, 52 minutes; (3) Logical Reasoning – 36 questions, 40 minutes. Total: 108 questions in 120 minutes.
