In a nutshell, your profile is supposed to be a by-product of what you have done so far. It needs to have "high-barrier" activities for it to be of any value.
If you just (say) put Coursera certificates which anyone can spend 20-30 minutes and get, it can backfire against you too (when grilled in the interview).
