Is dropping off the current course to crack CAT in 60 days a right choice?

Is dropping off the current course from a renowned university to crack CAT in 60 days a right choice and aiming for IIMS(A,B,C)?

As iam not entirely happy doing the course that i have taken up now and so would like to pursue MBA

So.. r u doing ur PG rn?

If yes and its completely your call, but discontinuing the course just by thinking that you will crack the CAT.. I think its not a good idea. If u dont like it, for any reasons other than this CAT reason, it depends on ur situation and its completely ur call to make it.

Yes, currently pursuing PG and i have seen my interests shifting to the managerial side and I would like to give it a shot instead of continuing something iam not entirely happy with.

Would that be a good decision to take?

I dont think so.., if u can manage urself by taking that decision and even if u couldnt crack CAT, u should okay with it. If yes, u can

Keeping NMAT, SNAP AND XAT exam choices also open sir.

Make all the scenarios:

  1. You drop PG, you get a good b-school — all good.
  2. You drop PG, you don't clear CAT — what then?
  3. You don't drop PG, you get a good b-school — all good, you have full flexibility.
  4. You don't drop PG, you don't clear CAT — koi na, you have this backup option.

Now, cater to the worst-case scenario and plan for that.
