Eligibility

At least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both class X and XII. Must hold a Bachelor's Degree of minimum 4 years duration (3-year bachelor's degree holders are NOT eligible) with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a university recognized by AICTE/AIU/Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Must possess a minimum of 1 year of work experience as on 31st January 2026, after completion of the minimum 4-year bachelor's degree. Must have a valid CAT 2025 score (Indian candidates); NRI applicants may apply on the basis of valid GMAT scores. CGPA equivalence is computed by multiplying CGPA by 9.5 where no official conversion scheme exists.

Application Process

1. 1

   Register for CAT 2025

   Candidates must register for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2025). Registration opens on August 1, 2025 and closes on September 13, 2025. The exam is held on November 30, 2025.

2. 2

   Fill MDI Online Application Form

   Complete the combined online application form available on the MDI website (www.mdi.ac.in). Online registration is open from September 25, 2025 to November 28, 2025 (5:00 PM IST). Select the PGDM-IB programme among the options.

3. 3

   Pay Application Fee

   Make an online payment of Rs. 3,000 (inclusive of 18% GST) for MDI Gurgaon programmes. Candidates applying for both MDI Gurgaon and MDI Murshidabad pay Rs. 3,590. NRI/Foreign National/Gulf Quota/OCI candidates pay Rs. 8,496. NRI applicants select the NRI category.

   Shortlisting for WAT-GD-PI

   Shortlisting of candidates for the Written Analysis Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) process is done based on application details and CAT 2025 scores.

5. 5

   WAT-GD-PI Process

   Shortlisted candidates are called for Group Discussion, Written Analysis Test, and Personal Interviews between February and April 2026 at centers in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, or Mumbai. NRI applicants appear for Personal Interviews in April 2026.

6. 6

   Final Selection

   Final selection is based on weightages of CAT 2025 scores, WAT-GD-PI performance, Behavioral Assessment test, Academic merit, Academic diversity, Work experience, and Social diversity. Results are communicated in April 2026.

7. 7

   Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation

   Selected candidates pay fees in three installments: First installment of Rs. 6,00,000 at the time of admission (April–July 2026), second installment of Rs. 16,54,000 in September 2026, and third installment of Rs. 10,00,000 in November 2026.
